ABOUT RNIT ITERAMBERE FUND

RNIT Iterambere Fund is a unit trust, a collective investment scheme combining funds from numerous investors sharing similar investment goals. This approach allows them to access the market with guidance from the fund manager.

RNIT Iterambere Fund is an open-end balanced fund that aims to fulfil Rwandans’ wealth-building goals. Through the fund, unit holders can engage in the capital market and benefit from the returns of the investment assets after fees are deducted, according to their proportion of ownership in the scheme. This fund allows investors to partake in Rwanda’s economic growth.

RNIT Iterambere Fund is based on its philosophy of Safety, Liquidity and Return, and it aims at the specific objectives below:

  • To encourage and pool savings of the high- middle- and low-income groups;
  • To provide a convenient investment vehicle especially for Rwandans both – retail and institutional investors;
  • To provide for capital appreciation and income from a portfolio of equities and debt securities.

ITERAMBERE FUND PERFORMANCE

The performance of the Fund is materialized in the Net Asset value increase day on day (Absolute measure of performance) and annualized rate of return which is relative measure of performance. The table below summarizes RNIT Iterambere Fund performance (as per audited Financial statements):

As of 30th October 2024, the Asset Under Management (AUM) was 46.5 billion Rwandan Francs, the number of investors above 30,000 and the Net Asset Value per unit had reached 231.43 Frw 

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE FUND

  • Objectives: An open-ended balanced fund, which provides an efficient investment avenue for investors who have a medium to long-term investment horizon and simultaneously desire the comfort of availing liquidity in case of need;
  • Eligible investors: Open for investment to individuals, institutions and various groups of people (saving groups, cooperatives….);

  • Minimum Investment amount: Minimum is 2,000 FRW.

  • Maximum Investment Amount: There is no limit on the maximum amount to be invested by an investor;

    Issue Price: At the day’s Net Asset Value (NAV) which is determined on daily basis. There is no entry load;

  • Transparency:  RNIT Ltd calculates and discloses the NAV of RNIT Iterambere Fund at close of every business day and it is found the website;

  • Liquidity: Repurchase requests are being accepted on every Thursday (with applicable NAV of next business day)

  • Scheme duration: RNIT Iterambere Fund has a separate legal existence and is perpetual;

    Tax: As per current tax Laws, income and capital gains of unit trust is exempt from income tax.

RNIT ITERAMBERE FUND ADVANTAGES

  • Competitive returns on the market: For the last four consecutive years, the Fund has been able to generate annual returns above 11% on an annualised basis, which is very competitive versus other avenues of saving and investment. In 2024, the return is expected to be above 11.55%.
  • Daily Compounded Interests: compounding interest refers to the process where an investor’s interest on his/her savings account in the Fund is added to the principal amount so that in future periods, he/she earns interest on both the original principal and the accumulated interest. This is done daily. As such, in case of redemption of the saved monies, unit holder (investors) received their principle plus interests earned to date;

  • Flexibility: while continuing with systematic investments with a long-term view is advisable, there is no compulsion; an investor can discontinue the plan at any time. One can also increase or decrease the amount being invested;
